PSALM 117:1-2 – O PRAISE THE LORD
With Commentary by Mrs. Ari D. Hidalgo

Psalm 117
1 O Praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.
2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.

Shalom dear ones who fear (trust) the LORD,

Psalm of the day: Psalm 117:1-2

Thought: “O PRAISE THE LORD” (VERSE 1A-2B)

Let all people praise the LORD, for …

PRAISE THE LORD FOR HIS TRUTH:

The truth of the LORD endureth for ever. (Verse 2b)

‘Great is His Salvation’ to all people who will call upon His name. His name is JESUS.

The LORD JESUS CHRIST – YESHUA HA MASHIACH is our Salvation!

PRAISE THE LORD FOR HIS SALVATION:

In the book of Acts chapter 4 take a look.

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
(Verse 12).

PRAISE THE LORD FOR HIS KINDNESS:

“O Praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.”
(Verse 1).

In the above Scripture …all nations: and all people speak about Jewish and Gentile people to praise the LORD!

Why? … The Psalmist says …

“For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.”
(Verse 2).

PRAISE THE LORD, BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH IN HIM WE ARE PARTAKERS OF HIS DIVINE NATURE

(2 Peter 1:4-8).

“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
(Verse 4).

“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;”
(Verse 5).

“And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;”
(Verse 6).

“And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.”
(Verse 7).

“For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
(Verse 8).

Shalom, may the LORD bless you with all of His wonderful benefits that He has for all who fear (trust) Him.

In Yeshua’s Precious Name,

Mrs. Ari D. Hidalgo
